The hardware has no public documentation, the processor is unknown, as with any other arcade board. the processor instruction set has been encrypted, and the medium for storage is CD-based. It's not, the CD is to prevent bootlegs, you load the data of the CD into a ROM module. There are CPSIII games without the CD (iE. Warzard/Red Earth). The CD itself isn't the problem as the data on the CD is readable and the board doesn't need to access the CD after loading the ROM. The CPSII and III only support a 3 button configuration. To make them JAMMA compliant, another cable is needed to give the 6 button configuration that is the standard base for most video game consoles. This has nothing to do with the arcade boards (not directly) MVS has four buttons per player without the wiring harness. As the standard JAMMA is, the JAMMA adapter only supports 3 Buttons per player, while games like killer instinct have six buttons without the wiring harness (for the 3 kick/below button the 3 main buttons of player 3 & 4 are used) Capcom decided to use the wiring harness instead of using the player 3 & 4 buttons because otherwise they would not be able to create a 3 or 4 player game with more than 3 buttons (i.E. Dungeons & Dragons which has 4 buttons per player) Questions which answers I don't know: Q1: For one of the the first arcade games Capcom made, Vulgus, there where 2 Flyers/Posters which were exactly the same except that one said "Copyright by Capcom" and the other one said "Copyright by SNK". What sets humans apart from machines are feelings and emotions. I'd rather live for 50 years having experience pain, suffering, love, peace, etc. than an eternity without any emotions whatsoever. Carbon dating has nothing to do with the User Name Error FAQ. This is not a religious debate topic. This is a general FAQ with lots of cool information in it. Conrad has no primary sources to support his theories with. He has no first-hand accounts but relies on rehashings (generally biased) by others to support weak theories. It's fantastic. For years the KBS tuff, named for Kay Behrensmeyer, was dated using Potassium Argon (K-Ar) at 212-230 Million years. See Nature, April 18, 197, p. 226. Then skull #KNM-ER 1470 was found (in 1972) under the KBS tuff by Richard Leakey. I've posted all the stuff you asked. You just don't like the answers I think. It was a question not a rant. Ugh... That's a constant warning to make sure you stay on the FAQness of this topic. I also have problems with Potassium Argon dating. I'm sure you do. But you know what? You're not a scientist! You're not qualified to choose either way! WOW! *has carbon dated for lab homework. it's time consuming* Please note that none of those studies had the bisamples (the second sample from the same depth and time as the primary dated sample). I've seen that resource before, and those are all refutable because they didn't use the bisample. I'd like to see you dig up some research from a journal to support your statements, really. Please note that radiometric dating requires SEVERAL samples. Taking fewer than 3 is very bad tactics. Also - taking tainted fossils (Sherbard and Jones, 1989) and dating them is is very bad. The issues you listed were almost universally part of one or the other tactic. Besides which, there's always URANIUM, THORIUM, and RUBIDIUM, which still correspond! YAY! are you really a girl? Besides, other dating methods correspond with it. And... we DO know how much carbon 12 vs. carbon 14 was in the atmosphere at any given time, as long as there was something dead near it around the same time. Like Evolution uses it's own theories of Carbon dating Evolution did not develop carbon dating because carbon-14 only has a half life of 5700 years If you haven't noticed, that's not the only chemical used for radiometric dating. There's also uranium 238 (4.47 billion years), potassium 40 (1.25 billion years), rubidium 87 (48.8 billion years), and thorium 232 (14 billion years). Carbon 14 has the shortest half-life of all commonly used radiometric dating isotopes. It's used to date fossils because Carbon 14 is more abundant in the bone than the above, which are present, but you have to take a larger, irreplacable chunk out of the fossil to date it. We would, obviously, have to assume that the candle has always burned at the same rate, and assumes an initial height of the candle. I assume you're referring to the amount of C-12 present in the atmosphere at the time of the dated object's life. Well, none of the other dating methods (which are just as, if not more, accurate) depend on atmosphere. Carbon dating is a very slender portion of all dating techniques. Besides which, you can MEASURE the atmosphere amounts of C-12 at that time period by sampling fossils of plants around it, which are not as affected by the atmosphere as animal fossils. Carbon 14 is slowly being edged out in favor of Potassium 40 dating. Carbon 14 is cheap and quick, but not as reliable as the more expensive, time consuming Potassium. Still, the ranges hold up over the spans of other dating techniques. Carbon 14 dating is almost obsolete... or don't you keep up with science? :) 216. Or did I take that out of context? If so, could you be more specific? In German the word 'assoziieren'(verb) means to mentally combine past events, impressions and/or experiences (though they all are experiences) with a current situation. The word is a Latin derivation and since English and German have the same linguistic roots I thought the word means the same, my fault. I thought smart equals intelligence and I think how intelligent(not talented or gifted) someone is, is defined by how fast you can associate and not by how much they know. I came to this conclusion after I read Hobbes Leviathan where he says that everything someone does (all actions not only physical ones) is based on his past experiences, with the exception of reflexes. If someone is 'slow in the head' you say he's dumb, the opposite of dumb is smart.
